2018 Writer’s Craft Series

Our Writer’s Craft Series features award-winning writers sharing their experience and expertise. Open to the public, it is perfect for writers of any skill level, as well as literary lovers who want the opportunity to hear their favorite author speak. Held on Thursday and Friday of the Festival, these 8 sessions are 75 minutes long. Authors will sign books after their Writer’s Craft session.

For 2018, Writer’s Craft Sessions will be held March 22 and 23.

How to attend:

  • All Writer’s Craft sessions are open to the public.
  • Tickets will go on sale in January.
  • Writer’s Craft sessions are $25 each available HERE.
  • Writer’s Craft sessions are also included in the Combo Pass and the VIP Pass.

2018 Literary Discussion Series

Our Literary Discussion Series includes over 25 entertaining and enlightening discussions by authors, scholars, historians, publishers, and other literary and theater professionals. Topics include contemporary issues, historical interests, genre-based topics, Southern and New Orleans-based topics, among others, as well as panels on the life, work, and study of Tennessee Williams. Literary Discussions are 75 minutes long, including time at the end for Q & A.

Literary Discussions are held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the Festival. For 2018, that’s March 23, 24, and 25.

How to attend:

  • $100 ($70 for students with a valid school ID) for a Literary Discussion Pass. Includes all Literary Discussions Friday through Sunday.
  • $40 Literary Discussion Day Pass for Friday or Saturday or Sunday.
  • $10 per discussion: not available online but you may purchase individual Literary Discussions at the Festival.
  • The Literary Discussion Series is also included in the Combo Pass and the VIP Pass


Theater events include full productions by our theater partners, such as Southern Rep, Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre, and The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans, plus one-acts, staged readings, and other theatrical events.

How to attend: 

Prices vary. Tickets to full productions available through our theater partners. Other theater events typically range from $20 to $40.  All theater events are also included in the VIP Pass.

Special Events

Special events include our Opening Night, Books and Beignets book club event, culinary events, music events, special interviews, our Tennessee Williams Tribute Reading, among other events.

Prices vary from $20 to $40. All special events except our Opening Night are included in the VIP Pass.

Walking Tours

New Orleans is famous for enticing writers to live and work under its spell. We partner with a variety of tour companies to offer our patrons tours specific to Tennessee Williams, as well as other intriguing topics.

Ticket Options: Prices average around $25 per tour. Some tours are included in the VIP Pass.
