2 – 3 PM—Special Event

Nicole Colbert’s evocative dance/theatre adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire returns to the Festival. Last Stop: Desire, choreographed and directed by Colbert, brings together dance, theatre, music, and Williams’ text to extend the play’s consideration of class, gender, family, and the individual’s relationship with the past and the present. Set in the 1960s, the play re-imagines the ending for Blanche, who, rather than being driven to madness, is swept up in the new era and ascends instead to freedom. Second show at 8 PM.
