Aimée Hayes

Aimée Hayes is Producing Artistic Director of Southern Rep Theatre where she has overseen new play development, producing and directing numerous writers. She added the Lagniappe Series at SRT, which includes The New Play Bacchanal, an annual festival of new plays that also bestows The Ruby Prize for a new play by a female playwright of color. As a member of the National New Play Network, Hayes has served on the Showcase of New Plays panel and directed in their MFA Playwright Showcase at the Kennedy Center. Hayes has often appeared on the SRT stage, most recently as She in Stage Kiss, Hannah Jelkes in The Night of the Iguana, and Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire.
