Abram Shalom Himelstein is the co-founder of the Neighborhood Story Project and the editor-in-chief at the University of New Orleans Press. He has written for the Daily Racing Form, The Houston Chronicle, and Next City. He is the author of What the Hell am I Doing Here? and co-author of Tales of a Punk Rock Nothing. At UNO he teaches English teachers, a Publishing Workshop, and Multicultural Education.
