Dianne Honore’

Dianne “Gumbo Marie” Honore’ is a New Orleans native and founder of the Black Storyville Baby Dolls™, the Amazons Benevolent Society™ and Unheard Voices of Louisiana. She has appeared on national television and in Louisiana tourism materials, hosted a show on New Orleans history and current events, and developed “Gumbo Marie,” a rotating exhibit-store of curated Louisiana history exhibits which also sold locally crafted products. Awards include the 2013 Louisiana Creole Research Associations Recognition Award for contributions to the good of society through Truthful Historical Storytelling and the 2018 Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame “Capturing the Spirit Award” for work in the community and cultural preservation. She owns a bed and breakfast in Natchez, MS where she writes about the historic connection between New Orleans and Natchez.
