Poppy Tooker is the author of the Crescent City Farmers Market Cookbook, awarded the Eula Mae Dore Tabasco Cookbook Award for historic content and named New Orleans Magazine’s 2009 Cookbook of the Year. In 2012, she wrote the foreword and updated the historic recipes of Madame Begue’s Recipes of Old New Orleans Creole Cookery, first published in 1900. Poppy hosts an award-winning weekly NPR-affiliated radio show, Louisiana Eats! In 2013, she published a book by the same name, which won the Literary Award of the Year by the LA Library Association. Her most recent book is Tujague’s Restaurant Cookbook, Recipes and Lore in the Grand Creole Tradition.
