Pamela Tyler

Pamela Tyler, a native of Georgia, holds a Ph.D. in history from Tulane University. She is a member of the History department faculty at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she teaches courses in U.S. women’s history and the history of the South since the Civil War. Her book Silk Stockings and Ballot Boxes: New Orleans Women and Politics 1920-1963 won the L. Kemper Williams Prize, given annually for best book in Louisiana history.
