Jerry W. Ward, Jr.

Jerry W. Ward, Jr., who has lived in New Orleans since 2002, is currently a Distinguished Overseas Professor in the School of Foreign Languages, Central China Normal University (Wuhan). He is the author of The Katrina Papers: A Journal of Trauma and Recovery (2008), The China Lectures: African American Literary and Critical Issues (2014), and Fractal Song: Poems (2016).  His essays and poems have been published in many magazines and anthologies.  His work-in-progress is Reading Race Reading America, a collection of essays.
