Established in 2013, the Donald Windham-Sandy M. Campbell Literature Prizes at Yale University are global English-language awards for fiction, nonfiction, and drama (poetry will be added in 2017). The prizes call attention to literary achievement and provide writers with the opportunity to focus on their work independent of financial concerns. Prizewinners receive $150,000 to support their writing. A festival in celebration of the 2016 recipients took place at Yale September 19-22.
