A cast of in person and virtual performers in the Romani tradition led by Ylva Mara Radziszewski.
“Water Always Wonders” is an embodiment of remembered futures; a ritual in the tradition of Romani storytelling from queer Romani artists Tsarina Hellfire, Ylvadroma Marzanna Radziszewsk, and Konstantin Polyakov. Join us for an evening of music, song, dance, and poetry as we join our voices in prayer with our queer and gender-expansive Romani ancestors. With multimedia installations from Kiki Robinson and Baby Reckless, as well as poetry & short stories from Jezmina Von Thiele. As the vernal equinox awakens us to new beginnings, we offer this performance as a blessing of Latcho Drom; a prayer for safe travels on the path unfurling before us all.
This performance is part of The Last Bohemia Fringe Festival, a program of The Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival.
