Jaclyn Bethany

Jaclyn Bethany is an actor, writer, and Emmy winning filmmaker, as well as a rising Williams scholar. She is co-artistic director of new female driven company, The Fire Weeds, which will present two one acts by Williams at this year’s festival. Ms. Bethany, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, is a graduate of Fordham University, the London Film School (M.A.) and the prestigious American Film Institute (M.F.A., Directing). She recently played the role of Laura in The in Glass Menagerie at New Stage Theatre and performed with the Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans in The Six Blanches. She has directed six feature films which have played prestigious festivals and received distribution worldwide. She recently wrapped indie feature In Transit starring Jennifer Ehle and is slated to shoot All Five Eyes starring Greta Bellamacina and Honor Swinton-Byrne in the UK later this year. She is is on faculty at Loyola University, New Orleans, and presented at the Williams scholars conference in 2023.
