Richard Campanella

Richard Campanella, a geographer with the Tulane School of Architecture, is the author of Bienville’s Dilemma, Geographies of New Orleans, Bourbon Street: A History, and other books. The only two-time winner of the LEH Book of the Year Award, Campanella has also received the Louisiana Literary Award, Williams Prize, Hannah Arendt Prize for Public Scholarship, and Tulane Professor of the Year Award. In 2016, the Government of France named Campanella a Knight of the Order of the Academic Palms.
