Craig E. Colten
Craig E. Colten is a Professor Emeritus of Geography at LSU. For over twenty years, he studied how marginalized communities survive, which was included in the recently published State of Disaster. He is the author of the award-winning An Unnatural Metropolis: Wresting New Orleans from Nature, along with several other books. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Geographers and a recipient of the Gilbert F. White Distinguished Public Service Honors. He is currently investigating how communities facing climate change will go about documenting and preserving valued landscapes.
