Dirk Gindt

Dirk Gindt is Professor of Theatre Studies at Stockholm University. He is the co-editor of the volume Viral Dramaturgies: HIV and AIDS in Performance in the Twenty-First Century (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018). Dirk is also the author of the monograph Tennessee Williams in Sweden and France, 1945-1965: Cultural Translations, Sexual Anxieties and Racial Fantasies (Bloomsbury, 2019). His current research, financed by a four-year grant from the Swedish Research Council, analyzes Indigenous performance cultures in the Arctic and is conducted in consultation and close dialogue with Giron Sámi Teáhter in Kiruna/Giron.
