Roy Hoffman

Roy Hoffman is the author of The Promise of the Pelican, an intergenerational, literary crime novel of today’s multicultural South; the novels Come Landfall, Chicken Dreaming Corn (praised by Harper Lee), Almost Family, and the nonfiction, Alabama Afternoons, and Back Home. His essays have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall St. Journal. He was a journalist and speechwriter in New York before returning south. The Alabama native and Tulane graduate resides in Fairhope, Alabama, and is on the faculty of Spalding University’s Naslund-Mann Graduate School of Writing.
