Oliver A. Houck

Oliver A. Houck is Tulane Emeritus Professor of Law and David Boies Chair in Public Interest Law at Tulane University in New Orleans.  He has also written several books, including Taking Back Eden (environmental cases abroad), Downstream Toward Home (canoe paddles in Louisiana and as far north as the Arctic Circle), Uijongbu (his military service in Korea), and The Court of General Sessions (his service as a federal prosecutor in the District of Columbia.  His newest book, now pending, is a critique of the United States Supreme Court entitled The Most Dangerous Branch.  He is married with two children, now grown and gone, who shared several adventures described in this and other books.
