Echo Olander

Echo Olander is a Yankee child who has found home and heart in the wide bayous, smoky bars, and parade routes of New Orleans. Since the 1970s, she has been exploring the intricate layers of New Orleans culture and striving to build creative capacity in the city. After almost twenty years as the leader of a nationally recognized arts education organization, she is reinvigorating her creative processes. Her interest is the fertile place where self and community find vibrant connection.
