Christopher Schaberg

Christopher Schaberg is the Dorothy Harrell Brown Distinguished Professor of English at Loyola University New Orleans. He is the author of eight books, including his latest, Fly-Fishing (Duke University Press, 2023). Originally from Northern Michigan, Chris has lived in New Orleans since 2009 and has written and taught seminars at Loyola about air travel, environmental awareness, and contemporary literature. He is also the founding series editor of Bloomsbury’s Object Lessons book series, which explores the hidden lives of ordinary things.
