Brenda Currin

Brenda Currin, an Obie Award winner (My Sister in This House by Wendy Kesselman) has worked extensively in the NY theater, last seen in the World Premiere of Tina Howe’s final play, Where Women Go. Films include the soon-to-be released Last Hand, Grounded in Love, Daughter of the Bride, Gossamer Folds, and Out of Blue. Earlier films include In Cold Blood, The World According to Garp, Reds, Taps, and C.H.U.D. Television work includes Gossip Girl, Claws, and Wu-Tang, An American Saga. New Orleans theater performances have included roles in Confederacy of Dunces, Dividing the Estate, Orpheus Descending, Suddenly Last Summer, and To Kill a Mockingbird. At the St. Louis TW Festival, Currin has been in The Glass Menagerie and Something Unspoken. With David Kaplan, she adapted and performed Eudora Welty’s work for the stage. In NYC, Brenda has been in many plays and most recently is in rehearsals for Listen to Me by Gertrude Stein playing Alice B. Toklas, with Kathleen Turner as Gertrude. It also features four dressage horses and riders. Director David Kaplan is behind this epic. Brenda is thrilled to be back for the TWNO Literary Festival!
