Cody Norris

Cody Norris is a PhD candidate in English at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. His research interests include dramatic literature, performance studies, and literature of the American South. His dissertation interrogates the tourist gaze and colonial and antebellum nostalgia often found in Southern narratives. He draws on literature, film, and the visual and performing arts, to examine distinctions between eras of cultural production, with a focus on embodied performance of citizens and visitors to Southern destinations.
