Gary Richards

Gary Richards is Professor of English at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he teaches courses in southern literature, modern and contemporary US fiction and drama, and gender and sexuality studies. He is the author of Lovers and Beloveds: Sexual Otherness in Southern Fiction, 1936-1961, as well as numerous essays on southern writers such as Tennessee Williams, William Faulkner, Eudora Welty, Beth Henley, and Alfred Uhry.
