Charles D. Urstadt

Charles D. Urstadt is an independent theater producer dedicated to bringing new voices and innovative works to the stage. Charlie is currently co-producer of the Broadway productions of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone at the Ethel Barrymore Theater and Schmigadoon! at the Nederlander Theater. Recent Broadway projects include Call Me Izzy, the Tony Award-nominated Floyd Collins, and the Tony Award-winning Appropriate. His commitment to the arts is demonstrated by his service as a board member of Le Petit Theatre, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Preservation Resource Center, Ensemble Studio Theater, Friends of WNET/Thirteen, and many others. Charlie lives in New Orleans with his husband, David Bernard.
