Brenda Currin
Brenda Currin, an Obie Award winner, has worked extensively in the NY theater. More recent films include Daughter of the Bride and Gossamer Folds. Earlier films include In Cold Blood, The World According to Garp, Reds, Taps, C.H.U.D., and Out of Blue. TV work includes Gossip Girl, Claws, and Wu-Tang, An American Saga. New Orleans theater performances have included roles in Confederacy of Dunces, Dividing the Estate, Orpheus Descending, and Suddenly Last Summer, and at the St. Louis TW Festival, The Glass Menagerie. With David Kaplan, she adapted and performed Eudora Welty’s work for the stage. Brenda co-founded What Girls Know, a theater program for the healthy development of adolescent girls. In February 2024, Brenda opened in the World Premiere of Tina Howe’s last play, Where Women Go, for a limited run at the HERE Theater in New York.
