David Kaplan

David Kaplan is curator and co-founder, in 2006, of the Tennessee Williams Festival in Provincetown. He is the author of Tennessee Williams in Provincetown and editor of the centennial essay collection, Tenn at 100. He has directed plays by Williams in Ghana, Uruguay, Russia, and Hong Kong. At the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Festival he’s staged June Recital with Brenda Currin (in 1988), Tennessee Suite (2007), Tennessee Williams Songbook with Alison Fraser (2013), and The Hotel Plays at the Hermann-Grima House (2014, 2015). He will stage Williams’ Rose Tattoo in a circus tent this August for the Tennessee Williams Festival St. Louis.
