Tom Mitchell

Tom Mitchell is an emeritus professor of Theatre at the University of Illinois and a Scholar in Residence for the Tennessee Williams Festival in St. Louis. Tom edited the previously unpublished stories “The Lost Girl” and “Why Did Desdemona Love the Moor?” for the Tennessee Williams Annual Review. His edition, The Caterpillar Dogs: Early Stories by Tennessee Williams, is expected from New Directions in April 2023. Mitchell has adapted “The Men from the Polar Star” and will stage the sci-fi/fantasy tale for the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Festival in September 2023.
