Barton Palmer

Barton Palmer is Calhoun Professor Emeritus of Literature at Clemson University.  He has published widely in film and adaptation studies, including a number of works devoted to Tennessee Williams.  His volume, with Robert Bray, Hollywood’s Tennessee: The Williams Films and Postwar America, offers a broad cultural perspective on the importance of these films.  Palmer is also an award-winning translator and editor of medieval poetry.
