Nisi Sturgis

Nisi Sturgis is an actress, educator, director, adapter, collaborator, a grateful partner, and delighted and exhausted parent. As an AEA and SAG member, she’s appeared On and Off Broadway, and spent five years as June Thompson on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. Regionally she has worked at theatres including the Chautauqua Theatre Company, Denver Center, Old Globe, Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, and toured in Disgraced at the Goodman, Seattle Rep, and Berkeley Rep. She has performed at St. Louis, Provincetown, and is very happy to be returning to the New Orleans Tennessee Williams Festival. Nisi is a Ragdale Foundation Fellow. At University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, she is grateful to serve as an Assistant Professor of Acting. LOVE & ART!
